About Us
Nandini Homestay is a venture of Mr Rajendra Singh, a longtime resident of Bhaniawala Village who decided to convert his home into a homestay in 2019 after the government launched the Homestay Program to give a boost to tourism in Uttarakhand. Having started the homestay with just 3 rooms, Rajendra expanded the homestay in 2021 by adding 2 more rooms and upgrading the homestay from a Silver Category to a Gold Category in 2021.

Over the last few years, the Uttarakhand Government has been encouraging the growth of the Homestay accommodation segment across the state as a means of promoting tourism as well as employment for the local population.

Rajendra Singh is one of those first-time Homestay owners who has converted his home into a homestay to host guests from around the world. Having lived in Bhaniawala for many years, Rajendra has used his knowledge of the local area and the nearby Dehradun city to not just be a Homestay owner but to be a guide to his hosts. He arranges pick up and drop from the airport, which is 2 kms away from Nandini Homestay. He has also been a guide and taken his guests to places like Mussoorie and Kanatal or Rishikesh and Haridwar.

Prior to becoming a Homestay owner, Rajendra was a simple farmer who loves to talk about nature, farming and social issues. He treats every tree like his own children. He is a good guide and a cook who, along with his wife and son, takes care of the home and the guests.
